Steps To Execute
Role: Kimray - Quality Engineer 1. Navigate to Quality Management >Setup > Inspections > New. 2. Populate the Name, Description, Type, Inspection Method. 3. Select Simple Sampling for Sampling Requirement and fill out the Sampling Rate and Allowable Failures. Fill out the Specification Revision. 4. Mark Collect Sample Data as TRUE. 5. Save the Quality Inspection record. 6. On the Quality Inspection record that was created, under the Data Field subtab, click on New Inspection Data Field button. The button redirects to Inspection Data Field record in edit mode. 7. Hover over the Data Field Name field input box and click on the plus sign. This button opens up a pop-up for the Quality Inspection Fields List record. 8. Populate the Name, Data Type, and Inspection Tool. 9. Mark Mandatory as TRUE. 10. Save the Quality Inspection Fields List. This populates Data Field Name, Data Type, and Inspection Tools on the Inspection Data Field record. 11. Fill out the Sequence and Instruction. 12. Save the Inspection Data Field record. Repeat steps 6 - 12 for the number of inspection data fields needed. 13. On the Quality Inspection record that was created in step 5, under the Inspection Standards subtab, click on New Inspection Standard button. The button redirects to Inspection Standard record in edit mode. 14. Hover over the Standard Field field input box and click on the plus sign. The button opens up a pop-up for the Quality Standard Fields List record. 15. Fill out the Name and Data Type. Use the same Data Type as step 8. 16. Save the Quality Standard Fields List. Saving the record populates the Standard Field and Data Type on the Inspection Standard record. 17. Fill out the Default Value. This value represents what is needed to pass the Inspection Data Field. If Decimal, value needs to include a 0 in front of the decimal. 18. Save the Inspection Standard record. Repeat steps 13 - 18 for the remaining number of inspection data fields created in step 12. 19. On the Quality Inspection record that was created in step 5, under the Pass Fail Criteria subtab, click on New Inspection Pass Rule button. The button redirects to Inspection Pass Rule record in edit mode. 20. Fill out the Sequence and Name. Make sure the Sequence matches the sequence in step 11. 21. Set the Rule Type to Standard. 22. Select the Inspection Field created in step 12. 23. Select the associated Standard Field created in step 18. 24. Set the Criteria. 25. Save the Inspection Pass Rule. Repeat step 19 - 25 for the remaining number of inspection data fields created in step 12. Name and Sequence must be unique between each Pass Rule record. 26. Navigate to Quality Management > Setup > Specifications. 27. Click on New Specification. 28. Populate the Specification Name and Specification Description. 29. Click Save. 30. Under the Inspections subtab, click Add Inspection. 31. Populate the Sequence as 10 and select the Inspection created in steps 1 - 25 under Inspection field. 32. Click Save. Confirm the Data Fields and Rules subtab. 33. Click Go Back. 34. Under the Conformance Rules subtab, click Add Conformance Rule. 35. Populate the Conformance Rule Name. 36. Set Sequence to 10. Set Action to Quarantine v2. 37. Save the record. 38. Using the Global Search bar, type "Page: Quality Specification Context" and click on New Quality Specification Context. 39. Select an incoming inspection item under Item field. Select the location. 40. Select Work Order Completion for the Transaction Type. 41. Select the Specification created in steps 26 - 37 under Specification field. 42. Select the Work Center that comes previous to the Quality Work Center routing step. 43. Repeat steps 28 - 42 for additional quality checks at Quality Work Centers. 44. Save the record.
Expected Results
Quality control plan is created for an in-process inspection item and can be triggered through a work order completion record for the process step before the quality work center.
