Assembly Unbuild ? Standard Operating Procedure Login as: Kimray - Field Service Technician Kimray - Service Supervisor Kimray - Repair Tech Kimray - Customer Support Specialist Kimray - Customer Support Specialist - Intl Kimray - Sales & Service Manager Step 1: Initiate Assembly Unbuild Select the Location Enter the Item to be unbuilt RF-Smart will Prompt user for the Quantity to be unbuilt RF-Smart will Prompt user for Assembly Item Inventory Details Step 2: Enter Inventory Details For Serialized Items RF-Smart will Prompt for Serial Number(s) being unbuilt Bin and inventory status will be pulled automatically from NetSuite based on the serial's current location If quantity > 1, multiple serials must be entered For Lot-Controlled Items RF-Smart will Prompt for: Lot Number Quantity Bin where the lot is being unbuilt Inventory Status Details must match the total quantity being unbuilt If multiple lots are needed, the system will prompt again until the total is fulfilled For Non-Lot / Non-Serial Assemblies RF-Smart will Prompt for: Bin Quantity Inventory Status Details must match the unbuild quantity Click Done once all inventory details are entered The system will populate the Assembly Unbuild Record Step 3: Select Bin for Unbuilt Components Choose the Bin to receive the unbuilt component inventory Only bins flagged as unbuild bins will be available: Field: Is Unbuild Assembly Bin Field ID: custrecord_kr_unbuild_assembly_bin Do not select: A bin in a different location A bin not flagged as an unbuild bin Step 4: Enter Component-Level Details Prompt user for serial/lot details for all applicable components If multiple component items require detail, they will be prompted individually For Serial-Controlled Components Enter one serial at a time until the full quantity is captured After required quantity is met, system will prompt for the next component For Lot-Controlled Components Enter the lot number and quantity If needed, enter additional lots until the full quantity is reached Step 5: Submit the Unbuild Click Submit once all component details have been verified and entered A green success message will confirm that the unbuild transaction was created in NetSuite ?? Note: Unbuilt components may automatically commit to open work orders with backordered lines. This may or may not be the same work order you intend to issue to. Step 6: Issue Components to Work Order (Optional) Prompt: ?Do you need to issue components to a work order?? If No: Continue submitting the unbuild Components remain in the selected bin Work order issue is skipped If Yes: RF-Smart will Prompt for the Work Order Number Enter and submit the number Validation Checks: Invalid Status Error: If the work order is unreleased, has backordered components, or is not ready Message: "Invalid status" Action: Speak with a lead to update the work order Unbuild Quantity > Work Order Quantity: Message: ?The quantity to unbuild is greater than the work order quantity. Not all components will be issued. Do you want to continue or cancel?? Continue: Proceed with issuing allowable quantities Cancel: Restart the unbuild process No Components Can Be Issued: Message: "No components can be issued to this work order. Continue with unbuild?" Continue: Complete unbuild without issuing Back: Return to enter a different work order Step 7: Finalization and System Logic Upon submit: All components are unbuilt into the selected bin If a work order was selected, issue occurs after the unbuild transaction is complete System Logic Components are issued based on the BOM associated with the selected work order Components already issued will not be re-issued These remain in the unbuild bin Remaining components eligible for issue will be processed Tracking and Records Work Order Issue Transaction will reference the related Unbuild Transaction Unbuild Transaction will include: The item unbuilt The serial number, if applicable Additional Notes & Responsibilities Kimray Responsibilities: Adjust out any components not issued Manage the issuing of replacement components before this process Handle transfers or adjustments post-process as needed Components not required for the selected work order will remain in the selected bin If serial or lot numbers were entered, they will be issued unless already previously issued Completion A green success message will confirm when component issue to the work order is completed If no issue was required, this step is skipped
Expected Results
The Unbuild transaction was completed before the user was prompted with do you need to issue components to a work order. Green success message to indicate the unbuild transaction was done. The Work Order Issue transaction was completed for the selected work order. The Unbuild transaction was associated to the work order Issue transaction. The inventory detail for the unbuilt serial item contains the serial number that was unbuilt.
