COA and Segmentation configured Role: Kimray-Staff Accountant Kimray-Accounting Supervisor Kimray-Cost Supervisor Kimray-Cost Accountant 1. Transactions ; Financial ; Make Journal Entries 2. On the new Journal Entry page complete the following under Primary Information: enter Memo enter in Next Approver validate Date validate Posting Period 3. Under Lines enter balancing Journal Entry lines complete the following select Account enter Line Description Debit or Credit Amount Department Location and optionally Entity Name 4. Hover over Actions and select Memorize 5. In the new page that opens up provide the Name as a description of the memorized JE e. g. Amortization of Prepaid Insurance. Select Action as "Reminder "Select the date when the Journal should become eligible to be created Select how frequently the Journal should be created by specifying the occurrence in the "Repeat Every" field the "Time period" and "Number remaining". If this should be an open ended Memorized transaction leave number remaining as blank as check the "Indefinite" box. 6. Generate the Journal Entry from the memorized transaction as follows: Ensure you have added the "Memorized Transactions Due" reminder From the Memorized Transactions Due Reminder check the "Use Next Date" checkbox to ensure the JE is with the next date that is expected. Check the box against each record for which you would like to generate the Journal Entry. Note: instead of blindly clicking Submit you can optionally click the Enter link which will open up the Journal Entry for review and update if needed. Click Submit. On the process status page wait for the Submission status to change to "Complete" and click on Submission status "Complete "On the result record field your newly created Journal Entry link will be visible. Memorized Journal is created and can be seen in the Memorized transaction reminder (no JE created it is only a virtual transaction)Memorized Journal Entries can be created from the Memorized Journal and GL impact is observed.
